Chanmi is the main vocals of the five-member idol girl group 5dolls, who are currently promoting “It’s You” and “Lip Stains”.

5dolls bold statement “To reach T-ara beyond level”

The 5-member female sub-unit from the mixed group Coed make a bold mark in the music industry.

5dolls released their title track “It’s You” and debut mini album in February and are currently active promoting.

5dolls are not exactly rookies. Hyoyoung, Chanmi, and Hyewon debuted last year in the 10-member mixed group Coed, and Soomi made her debut in 2009 under the now disbanded three member vocal group SeeYa.

Although some of 5dolls are still qualified as rookies, their attitudes are better than your average rookie. They debuted in the second half of the last year under Coed, and had great interest, even after unexpected bad news and rumors hit the group. 5dolls were prepared to launch their debut album.

“This time, we have really thought about doing well… even with Coed. But I’m sure about this. We’re working hard practicing our songs and dance. Unlike in Coed, a girl group now is able to show a feminine, cute, and sexy look better.” (Chanmi)

They got a lot of media attention over being the second female idol group from Core Contents Media, who also made T-ara.

Soomi said, “Our girl group sunbaes T-ara really give us a lot of advice. T-ara are really the best sunbaes, and someday I want to be on their level or reach past it,” she said smiling.

Hyoyoung, whose twin sister belongs to T-ara had wishes, too.

Hyoyoung said, “I want to compete in good faith against the two Untouchable members. We both rap, but frankly, I’m not competitive enough.”

5dolls have gained a lot of attention for their fresh sound debut album.

Hyewon said, “With Chanmi unnie, Eunkyo and I have been together since middle school, and even in high school. We’re excited and it’s pleasant to be able to finally perform ‘It’s You’ together,” she said.

Coed brought in a new member, too. Reputable dancer Eunkyo said, “Hyewon is in the same admission class as me, so the feelings are very good. I’m trying to just enjoy myself as much as possible on stage these days.”

5dolls are determined to win a rookie award. Their passion for their dance and song seems foolish for it not to be a consideration.

T-ara’s 3 actor-dols and 5dolls joint performance, “high expectations”

 

T-ara’s Eunjung, Hyomin and Jiyeon join rookie idols 5dolls for a joint-stage.

T-ara and 5dolls will their joint stages of 5dolls’ ‘It’s You’ track beginning on March 3rd on Mnet’s ‘M!Countdown,’ followed by KBS2TV ‘Music Bank’ on the 4th, MBC ‘Music Core’ and SBS ‘Inkigayo’.

Since both artists belong to the same agency, Core Contents Media, it’s common for senior and junior artists to be close to each other.

T-ara said, “We love the song and dance for ‘It’s You’ so we wanted to join them for their activities. When it was suggested to us, we immediately accepted and were excited to share the stage.”

T-ara and 5dolls will have a joint stage on this week’s music shows! It won’t be all the T-ara members, but only Eunjung, Hyomin, and Jiyeon.

5Dolls performed their title song “It’s You” at SBS Music Trend(Inkigayo) on the 27th of February.

But the props 5Dolls used on stage made viewers uncomfortable. Some of viewers stated “Even elementary students doesn’t use it anymore, whats with that?” – “It really can’t catch the feeling of the concept.” but others felt “No matter how we see them, it’s still cute.” – “It’s cute no matter what.”

5Dolls is a sub-group from Co.Ed School consist with Smile Soomi, Starlight Chanmi, One Light HyoYoung, One Star Hyewon, and Seo Eunkyo They released their 1st digital mini album on 1st February called ‘Charming Five Girls’.

‘Cute Charms Reduced’ 5dolls become a hot topic

 
Girl group 5dolls’ stage outfits become a hot topic.

On the February 25th episode of KBS2TV ‘Music Bank’, 5dolls performed their song ‘It’s You.’ The five members filled the stage up and attracted attention for their great dance skills.

But the fans were disappointed in their outfits. The designs did not fit tightly on their body, and the whole white outfit is reminiscent of a lunch lady. Although it was good their outfit wasn’t revealing, it also didn’t show their appeal or was appealing.

Fans said, “They have pretty and slim bodies, but the outfits don’t benefit the members and keep them hidden,” and “I hope 5dolls’ can change into clothes that fit better and make them shine more.”
